JSO Motor Unit Dominates at Henderson Police Motorcycle Skills Competition

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) Motor Unit delivered an impressive performance earlier this summer at the Henderson Police Motorcycle Skills Competition, bringing home numerous top awards.

Sheriff Waters challenged the team to win every category, and they answered the call with multiple first-place finishes:

  • 1st Place Night Ride: Scott Lundquist
  • 1st Place Dynamic Duo: Scott Lundquist & Paul VanLooven
  • Last Man Standing: Scott Lundquist
  • 1st Place Expert Metric: Paul VanLooven
  • 3rd Place Expert Metric: Jonathan Gonyeau
  • 1st Place Expert Windshield: Scott Lundquist
  • 1st Place Expert Fairing: Josh Tapley
  • 2nd Place Expert Fairing: Daniel Collins
  • 2nd Place Team Overall: Daniel Collins, Scott Lundquist, Dylan Bostick, & Christian Madsen
  • 3rd Place Team Overall: Paul VanLooven & Jason Young
  • 2nd Place Overall: Scott Lundquist
  • 10th Place Overall: Paul VanLooven

The competition provided an opportunity for JSO motor officers to demonstrate their advanced riding skills and to connect with law enforcement agencies nationwide.
