JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a woman killed in a hit-and-run crash on Monday, July 21, 2025.
Around 3:30 p.m., patrol officers in District 6 responded to Wainwright Circle near Edgewood Avenue, where a Black woman was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. The driver fled the scene, and the woman died from her injuries.
Following an extensive investigation involving the Homicide, Traffic Homicide, SWAT, and Crime Scene Units, detectives identified 42-year-old Durrell Bradley as the suspect. Bradley was arrested earlier this month and remains in the Duval County Jail, charged with leaving the scene of a deadly crash.
While the driver has been located, investigators have not yet identified the victim. Authorities have released her photo in hopes someone will recognize her. Anyone with information is urged to call JSO at 904-630-0500.
