The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) announced the arrests of a father and son following a narcotics investigation that led to the discovery of multiple illegal drugs inside a Longbranch home.
In June, JSO’s Narcotics Unit received a tip that a residence on East 25th Street near Buckman Street was being used to sell drugs. Detectives conducted an investigation and obtained a search warrant in July. The warrant was executed with assistance from the SWAT Team and District 5 Task Force.
Inside the home, investigators reported finding 13.1 grams of fentanyl, 66.2 grams of powder cocaine, 28.3 grams of MDMA, 6.9 grams of crack cocaine, and 868.7 grams of marijuana. Officials said the fentanyl alone represented more than 6,500 potentially fatal doses.
Two men, identified as Alfred Bell, 62, and his son, Alfred Bell, 41, were arrested. Both face multiple felony charges.
Authorities encouraged residents to continue reporting suspicious activity in their neighborhoods by calling 904-630-0500.
