Osceola County Deputy Arrested for Unauthorized Access of Computer System

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the arrest of one of its deputies following an internal affairs investigation into computer-related misconduct.

Deputy Jeffrey Alan Curtis II, 25, who joined the agency in October 2020 and was assigned to veteran’s outreach services, was found to have accessed law enforcement computer systems and electronic databases on September 4, 2022, without authorization. Investigators determined the information obtained was not relevant to his assigned casework or duties.

The investigation was launched on August 12, 2025, after a complaint was reviewed by internal affairs. Curtis was placed on administrative leave on August 15.

On August 20, a warrant was issued for his arrest on one count of Unauthorized Access to a Computer System. Curtis turned himself in at the Osceola County Jail on August 22. His bond was set at $1,000.

Sheriff Christopher A. Blackmon stated, “Our badge represents profound trust. Unfortunately, a member of our agency has violated that trust and failed both the Sheriff’s Office and our community, which we have continually vowed to protect. If criminal activity is discovered within the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, we will take prompt action to ensure the appropriate measures are taken.”

This case remains under investigation.
