Juvenile Shot in Daytona Beach, Suspect in Custody

Daytona Beach police are investigating a shooting that left one juvenile injured Saturday evening.

On August 30, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1300 block of North Clyde Morris Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound to the right knee.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police said the injuries are not considered life-threatening, and the juvenile is expected to recover.

Investigators quickly identified the suspected shooter, also a juvenile, who fled the scene but was later taken into custody by responding officers.

Due to the ages of those involved, the names of both the victim and the suspect are not being released.

The Daytona Beach Police Department said the case remains an active and ongoing investigation.
