A man wanted on felony warrants in both Hernando and Marion counties was arrested on Monday morning following a domestic disturbance.
At approximately 12:03 a.m. on September 1, deputies with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance in Hernando. The suspect, identified as Shawn Sellers, 39, of Inverness, had fled the scene on foot.
Following up on leads, deputies were able to locate and apprehend Sellers later that same day. He was transported to a hospital to receive treatment for injuries he sustained before his arrest.
Sellers was arrested on the felony warrants, and additional charges from the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office are currently pending. The case is still under investigation.
