STUART, Fla.—A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged with arson after he allegedly set fire to a dog grooming trailer and a vehicle belonging to his victim.
On August 16, Stuart Police officers responded to 911 calls reporting a trailer and the front of an SUV on fire. Surveillance video captured a truck belonging to Jonathan Bolander passing by the home just minutes before the blaze began.
A multi-agency investigation involving the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, Stuart Fire Rescue, and the State of Florida Bureau of Fire and Arson used search warrants, phone records, and witness statements to connect Bolander to the crime.
On September 2, Bolander was located and taken into custody. He has been charged with two counts of arson and is being held without bond at the Martin County Jail.
