On Saturday evening, October 24, 2025, one week after the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Jacyrus Hudson, Hendry County detectives arrested two men in connection with his death.
In the early morning hours of Sunday, October 19, deputies from the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire near 1825 13th Street in the Harlem neighborhood of Clewiston. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a crime scene. Around the same time, the Hendry Regional Medical Center reported receiving a man with a gunshot wound, later identified as Hudson, a Clewiston resident, who later died from his injuries.
Detectives soon learned that another gunshot victim had arrived at Lakeside Medical Center in Palm Beach County. Working with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Hendry County detectives spent the following days gathering evidence and identifying suspects.
Witnesses told investigators that a fight had broken out in the parking lot of Club Gossip at 1825 13th Street involving several people. Hudson reportedly arrived after hearing that the mother of his child had been struck during the altercation. When he attempted to break up the fight, he became involved in a struggle with a man later identified as Donovan Jamel Wint, 28. Another man, Tydarious Deon Williams, 25, then joined the altercation. Witnesses stated that during the confrontation, a firearm was passed between Williams and Wint before several gunshots rang out.
Hudson was rushed to Hendry Regional Medical Center by bystanders but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Palm Beach County officials later confirmed that one of the individuals transported to their hospital with a gunshot wound was Williams.
Detectives recovered multiple videos and photos showing both the initial fight between the women and the physical altercation involving Hudson, Williams, and Wint.
As a result of the investigation, Wint was arrested and charged with Battery and Accessory After the Fact – Second-Degree Homicide. He is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail without bond. Williams was charged with Homicide and is also being held at the Palm Beach County Jail without bond.
Both men will be transported to the Hendry County Jail, where they will await trial.
