Alachua Police Investigating $200,000 Rooftop Jewelry Store Burglary

ALACHUA, Florida – The Alachua Police Department is investigating a major burglary that occurred early Saturday morning, October 25, 2025, at Fundora Jewelry in the Rolling Oaks Plaza.

At approximately 1:40 a.m., officers responded to an alarm at the store, located at 15202 NW 147th Drive, Suite 400. When officers arrived, the building appeared secure, and no exterior signs of forced entry were found.

Around 5:00 a.m., officers met with the business owner and discovered that unknown suspect(s) had entered the store by cutting a hole through the roof. Once inside, they forced open a safe and stole an estimated $200,000 worth of jewelry before fleeing the scene.

Investigators believe the suspect(s) may have parked along NW 151st Boulevard and accessed the store’s rooftop from the rear of the building using a ladder.

Police are asking for the public’s help. Anyone who was in the area between 1:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. and noticed suspicious individuals, vehicles, or unusual activity is urged to contact Detective Williams at (386) 462-1396 or by email at twilliams@alachuapd.org.

Residents in the area are also encouraged to review their home security camera footage for any vehicle or pedestrian movement during that time.
