On Thursday night, October 30, 2025, Officer Christopher Davis of the Live Oak Police Department was involved in a serious motorcycle crash while traveling home from his final night at the North Florida College Police Academy in Madison, Florida.
Officer Davis was off duty and riding his personal motorcycle on Highway 90 West when the crash occurred. He sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, where he remains in serious but stable condition.
The Florida Highway Patrol is leading the investigation. Out of respect for Officer Davis’ family and the ongoing investigation, no additional details about the crash or the other vehicle involved are being released at this time.
The Live Oak Police Department is asking the community to keep Officer Davis and his family in their thoughts and prayers during his recovery.
