JSO Officer Arrested for Stalking and False Imprisonment of Ex-Girlfriend

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters announced the arrest of former JSO officer Claude Fleurimond, 49, on charges of stalking and false imprisonment (felony).

The arrest stems from a complaint filed on December 5 alleging that Fleurimond had been stalking a former girlfriend over several months. Investigators determined that Fleurimond repeatedly followed the woman. Back in October, he executed a traffic stop on her in his marked JSO police vehicle, using his police authority to detain and question her. According to the Sheriff, getting stopped for no reason is threatening enough. His line of questioning during that stop was about why she had stopped communicating with him.

Fleurimond, who had been employed by JSO for just over three years (hired August 22, 2022), immediately resigned following his arrest.

Sheriff Waters emphasized that the law applies to everyone, including law enforcement personnel. “Nobody, including our officers and employees, is above the law,” he said. He also noted that Fleurimond’s arrest marks the sixth JSO employee arrest by the agency in 2025, reflecting the department’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

The investigation was conducted by JSO Integrity Unit detectives, and Fleurimond remains in custody pending legal proceedings.
