CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office announced the largest fentanyl seizure in county history following a drug trafficking investigation that led to the arrest of two suspects in Beverly Hills.
On Thursday, December 4, 2025, detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of West Barrymore Drive. Investigators say the warrant followed information that Nicholas Isaiah Austin, 45, a thirteen-time convicted felon, and Cailey Lee Fiore, 27, were actively selling illegal narcotics in the area.
During the search, detectives seized more than 376 grams of fentanyl, along with cocaine, dozens of hydromorphone pills, bottles of liquid morphine, drug paraphernalia, and $5,250 in cash. Investigators also located multiple firearms inside the residence, including handguns, a shotgun, and an AR-15-style rifle, along with assorted ammunition.
Austin was taken into custody on three active warrants for trafficking in fentanyl. Based on evidence recovered during the search, he now faces additional charges, including trafficking in fentanyl over 28 grams, possession of cocaine, possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, and five counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Fiore was arrested on an active warrant for trafficking in fentanyl and now faces additional charges including trafficking in fentanyl over 28 grams, possession of cocaine, possession of controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Captain Mat Baird of the Criminal Investigations Division said the seizure had the potential to cause widespread harm. He credited investigators for their work in removing dangerous narcotics from the community and emphasized the Sheriff’s Office’s commitment to dismantling drug trafficking operations.
Both Austin and Fiore are being held without bond at the Citrus County Jail in accordance with the bond schedule. The investigation remains ongoing.
