SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. – A Satellite Beach man is behind bars following a massive digital forensic investigation that uncovered thousands of files depicting the sexual abuse of children. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) announced the arrest of 38-year-old Luke William Martineac on nearly 400 criminal counts.
The arrest is the culmination of a high-tech investigation that began on August 25, 2025. FDLE agents, working as part of a statewide initiative to track digital child exploitation, identified an individual sharing and downloading illicit material online. Investigators traced the activity to an IP address located at Martineac’s residence in Satellite Beach.
Forensic Discovery and Search Warrant
On October 15, FDLE agents executed a search warrant at the home, seizing multiple electronic devices for examination. Subsequent forensic analysis revealed the staggering scale of the material. Investigators located over 4,000 digital images and videos depicting the abuse of children, some of whom were identified as young as five years old.
Based on the evidence recovered, Martineac has been charged with:
- 372 counts of promoting sexual performance by a child.
- 20 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.
The Arrest
On December 18, 2025, FDLE agents, supported by the Special Operations Team and the Satellite Beach Police Department, served an arrest warrant at Martineac’s home. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Brevard County Jail.
The State Attorney’s Office for the 18th Judicial Circuit will oversee the prosecution. Officials noted that this case is part of an ongoing statewide effort to prioritize the location and apprehension of criminals who target children through the internet.
The investigation remains active.
