JACKSONVILLE, FL – Four known gang members are behind bars after a months-long investigation that took large quantities of drugs and firearms off the streets, authorities announced.
The operation, dubbed Operation Red Light, was led by the department’s Gang Investigations Unit and focused on members of the Out East 1200 gang. Throughout 2025, detectives worked a long-term investigation, building cases against individuals believed to be trafficking dangerous narcotics in the community.
The investigation reached a critical point on November 5, 2025, when officers executed five search warrants tied to the suspects. What they found underscored the scope of the operation.
Investigators seized more than 1,000 grams of illegal drugs, including approximately 152.4 grams of fentanyl. Authorities said that amount represents more than 76,000 potentially lethal doses. Additional seizures included 1,222.1 grams of promethazine, 226 grams of methamphetamine, 115.4 grams of cocaine, and 420.7 grams of marijuana.
Officers also recovered 22 firearms, $1,190 in cash, and three vehicles during the searches.
Four men were arrested as part of Operation Red Light: Anthony Williams, 27; Dasaun Williams, 23; Eibe Scott, 23; and Torrance Brooks, 24. All four face multiple felony charges related to drugs, firearms, and gang activity.
Authorities credited the success of the investigation to extensive collaboration across multiple units, including Narcotics, Crime Gun Intelligence, Technical Support, Computer Forensics, SWAT, Community Problem Response, and district task forces. The FBI and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office also assisted.
Officials emphasized that the operation sends a clear message.
Gang members, they said, have no place in the city. Investigators vowed to continue targeting organized criminal activity and removing violent offenders, drugs, and illegal weapons from the community.
