TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A ninth-grade student at Lincoln High School was arrested Wednesday and charged with false imprisonment and battery after investigators say another student was forcibly held and assaulted inside a campus bathroom.
According to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on January 14, 2026, and was documented on school surveillance video. The footage showed several students attempting to drag a fellow student into a bathroom by holding the victim’s arms.
Detectives determined the victim was pushed into a bathroom stall and prevented from leaving. Investigators said a 14-year-old male student held the victim against their will and engaged in unwanted touching.
The suspect was arrested and charged with false imprisonment and battery. He was transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center following his arrest.
The Leon County Sheriff’s Office urged parents and guardians to talk with their children about bullying, conflict resolution, and the importance of maintaining a safe and secure learning environment on school campuses.
