Drug House Shut Down in Bunnell After Early-Morning Sheriff’s Office Raid

BUNNELL, Fla. – A three-month narcotics investigation ended before sunrise Friday when the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office shut down a suspected drug house and arrested a repeat offender at a rural property in Bunnell.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, assisted by the SWAT team, served a search warrant in the early morning hours of Jan. 16 at 2480 County Road 304. Authorities said the investigation focused on a travel trailer on the property that had been identified as a source of illegal drug activity.

The residence was placed on the Sheriff’s High-Interest Target list after multiple complaints from nearby residents reporting suspicious behavior consistent with narcotics distribution. During the search, detectives seized methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun with ammunition.

“We received a lot of complaints about drug activity coming out of this trailer, so we put a stop to it and put this poison peddler in jail following an early morning wake-up call,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “If you believe there is drug activity in your neighborhood, let us know. We take all tips seriously and want to clean up your neighborhood too.”

Detectives arrested 31-year-old Jeremy Wells of Bunnell on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he is being held without bond.

According to investigators, Wells is a known offender with prior arrests that include possession of fentanyl, possession of cocaine, driving with a suspended license, and violation of probation.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to continue reporting suspected drug activity. Tips can be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS (8477), by email at TIPS@flaglersheriff.com, or through the Sheriff’s Office website or mobile app.
