PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has arrested a Pensacola man on multiple felony charges related to child sexual abuse material following a months-long investigation.
FDLE agents arrested Devon E. Corpening, 32, on 20 counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials (CSAM) and one count of using a two-way communication device to commit a felony. The arrest stems from FDLE’s statewide initiative targeting individuals who exploit children and share images depicting sexual abuse.
The investigation began in June 2025, when FDLE received several cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tips indicated that a cell phone service user had uploaded CSAM files to a cloud storage account. Agents later identified Corpening as the user connected to the account.
On January 15th, FDLE agents served a search warrant at Corpening’s residence and seized multiple electronic devices. A forensic examination of those devices revealed additional CSAM files, leading to Corpening’s arrest.
Corpening was transported to the Escambia County Jail, where he remains in custody. His bond has been set at $205,000, and his court hearing is scheduled for February 6, 2026. He is charged under offenses related to obscene material and public order crimes.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Florida Highway Patrol assisted in the search warrant and arrest. The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
