CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – A 58-year-old man with a criminal history spanning nearly four decades has been sentenced to prison after being adjudicated guilty of aggravated stalking and violating court-ordered protections, according to court records.
Christen Ray Brock was sentenced to 50 months in the Florida Department of Corrections by Joel D. Fritton after being found guilty of aggravated stalking with a credible threat, aggravated stalking for violating an injunction, and violation of conditions of pretrial release. The court determined Brock qualified for sentencing as a habitual felony offender.
The case began Aug. 14, 2024, when the victim contacted deputies with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office to report a violation of a domestic violence injunction. Deputies collected a letter left at the victim’s residence that depicted a shooting target with a bullseye containing the victim’s name and the words “You’ll regret it” written underneath.
Investigators contacted Brock at his residence the following day. He admitted writing the letter but claimed it was not intended as a threat. He was arrested and charged with aggravated stalking with a credible threat.
While released pending prosecution, Brock violated the conditions of his pretrial release, which prohibited any contact with the victim. On Jan. 15, 2025, the victim again notified law enforcement after discovering several notes left on her bedroom window, including one written on an envelope bearing Brock’s home address.
Deputies made contact with Brock once more, and during a post-Miranda interview, he admitted to leaving the notes. He was arrested and remained incarcerated without bond until the resolution of the cases.
The prosecution was handled by Kaitlyn Mannis.
