A 26-year-old Lake City, Florida resident was arrested on Thursday, January 29, 2026, in connection with possession of child sexual abuse material.
Columbia County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) detectives, assigned to the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, initiated an investigation on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, based on a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tip led investigators to develop Kevin Manuel Reyes Rosa as a suspect in a case involving child sexual abuse material (CSAM) originating in Lake City.
Following the execution of multiple search warrants and forensic examinations of electronic devices, detectives recovered 18 images of child sexual abuse material. An arrest warrant was subsequently obtained for Reyes Rosa.
On January 29, 2026, he was taken into custody and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility. He faces charges of:
- Using a two-way communication device to commit a felony (Florida Statute 934.215), a third-degree felony.
- Possession/control/view of child pornography (Florida Statute 827.071(5)(a)), a third-degree felony.
Reyes Rosa is being held on no bond. Authorities indicate that the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.
