Road Rage Shooting Leads to Arrest After Multi-Agency Investigation in Neptune Beach

NEPTUNE BEACH, Florida – Neptune Beach Police have arrested a 43-year-old man following a road rage incident in which a firearm was discharged from a moving vehicle, thanks to coordinated work between multiple law enforcement agencies.

On January 10, 2026, Neptune Beach Police officers responded to a report of a gun being fired from a vehicle during a road rage encounter. While investigating, officers learned of a similar incident that had occurred within the Jacksonville Beach Police Department’s jurisdiction involving a vehicle matching the same description.

Through a joint effort between the Neptune Beach Police Department and the Jacksonville Beach Police Department, officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle at a residence in Neptune Beach. Following a detailed investigation, Fabio Ladino, 43, was taken into custody, and the vehicle was seized.

The investigation continued with assistance from the Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Division. Search warrants were obtained and executed for both the residence and the vehicle. During the search, officers recovered the spent shell casing believed to be connected to the road rage shooting from inside the vehicle.

Ladino was booked into the Duval County Jail on charges of discharging a firearm from a vehicle within 1,000 feet of another person, resisting an officer without violence, and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.

Police say the case underscores the importance of reporting dangerous behavior and highlights how effective interagency cooperation can quickly bring potentially violent situations to a resolution.
