Jacksonville Man Fatally Stabbed After Parking Lot Altercation in Orange Park

ORANGE PARK, Florida – A 38-year-old Jacksonville man died Tuesday night after being stabbed multiple times during an altercation in Orange Park, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched around 8:40 p.m. on Feb. 2, 2026, to the Winn-Dixie Supermarket at 1339 Blanding Boulevard after a report of an adult male inside a vehicle suffering from apparent stab wounds and requesting emergency assistance.

Investigators said preliminary findings indicate the victim was involved in a physical altercation in the parking lot of the Cypress Pointe Apartment Complex at 25 Knight Boxx Road, located directly across the street from the grocery store. During the incident, the victim was stabbed multiple times and then drove to the store in an apparent attempt to seek help.

Deputies and Clay County Fire Rescue provided emergency medical care at the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities identified the victim as Billy Clark Foster, 38, of Jacksonville. The person who called 911 was described as a passerby who discovered the injured man and is not believed to be involved in the incident.
