ORLANDO, Fla. – A teenager has been arrested in connection with a gang-related shooting that injured four people outside a Parramore-area restaurant, including one victim who remains in critical condition, police said.
Officers responded Sunday to reports of gunfire at Sister Soul Food, located at 436 S. Parramore Avenue, where they found four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities said the injuries varied in severity, with one victim sustaining a gunshot wound to the head and remaining hospitalized in critical condition.
Investigators determined the shooting began as a gang-related dispute in which multiple individuals exchanged gunfire before fleeing the area. Police said that approximately one minute after the initial shooting, a suspect returned to the scene and fired additional shots into a crowd that had gathered to assist the wounded.
One of those shots struck the critically injured victim. Detectives identified the victim as a known gang member involved in the earlier dispute and an opposing gang member to the shooter.
Authorities identified the suspect as Cody Doggett, born June 20, 2009, who was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder with a firearm.
Police said the investigation remains active as detectives work to identify and apprehend other individuals involved. No additional details were released to protect the integrity of the case.
