Tampa Teacher Arrested After Inappropriate Conduct With Leto High School Student

TAMPA, Fla. — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a teacher at Leto High School following an investigation into alleged inappropriate conduct involving a student.

On February 24, 2026, a School Resource Deputy at Leto High School, located in the 4400 block of W. Sligh Avenue, was alerted to concerning communication between a teacher and a student. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Section responded to the campus and launched an investigation.

According to investigators, teacher 33-year-old Gregory Sinadinos II kissed a 17-year-old student earlier that same day. Detectives also determined Sinadinos displayed an obscene photo of himself and challenged the student to send a similar image.

Sinadinos had been employed at Leto High School for approximately two years.

“Parents trust that when they send their children to school, they are entering a safe environment focused on learning and growth,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “There is absolutely no excuse for an adult in a position of authority to engage in inappropriate conduct with a student. This arrest sends a clear message: anyone who exploits or attempts to exploit a child will be held accountable.”

Sinadinos was arrested and charged with:

  • Battery
  • Authority Figure Soliciting Lewd Conduct with a Student
  • Selling or Distributing Obscene Material to a Minor

The investigation remains active.
