JACKSONVILLE, Fla. –
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit dismantled a suspected drug trafficking operation earlier this month, seizing large quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, firearms, and cash tied to a local suspect.
Detectives arrested 41-year-old Brandon Rollins following an investigation that began in January after complaints of suspicious activity at a residence on West 30th Street. Investigators determined the location was being used as a “trap house” for narcotics sales. Authorities also linked Rollins to a second residence near Airport Center Drive allegedly used to facilitate illegal drug activity.
On February 13, JSO’s SWAT Team executed search warrants at both locations, leading to significant seizures, including:
- 210.10 grams of fentanyl — equivalent to more than 105,000 potentially lethal doses
- 1.09 kilograms of powder cocaine
- 67.3 grams of crack cocaine
- Ecstasy and MDMA
- 224.5 grams of marijuana
- Four firearms
- $23,557 in cash
- Multiple pieces of jewelry
Investigators said Rollins has a prior history of narcotics-related arrests. He now faces charges including Trafficking in Fentanyl and Trafficking in Cocaine, along with additional drug-related offenses.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office emphasized that community tips played a key role in launching the investigation and encouraged residents to continue reporting suspicious activity through its non-emergency line, (904) 630-0500, or crime tip email, JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
