Sexual Predator Arrested in Jacksonville for Sending Harmful Material to Minor

Jacksonville, FL – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has arrested Zachariah Salak, 42, of Jacksonville, on one count of transmission of harmful material to a minor and multiple violations of sexual predator registration requirements.

Salak faces a total of 14 felony charges, including:

  • 1 count of transmission of harmful material to a minor
  • 8 counts of failure of a sexual predator to register email address or internet identifier
  • 3 counts of tampering with evidence
  • 1 count of failure of a sexual predator to report a change in residential address
  • 1 count of failure of a sexual predator to report vacating a permanent residence
  • 1 count of a sexual predator residing within a certain distance of a school, park, or playground

The investigation began in January 2026 when FDLE received a request for assistance from the Coconut Creek Police Department. Authorities were investigating an adult male engaging in inappropriate conversations on Snapchat with a juvenile victim. Investigators identified the suspect as Salak, a registered sexual predator residing in Jacksonville.

Further probe revealed Salak was using multiple unregistered online accounts and email addresses, including on platforms Roblox and Discord, in violation of Florida law requiring sexual predators to register all internet identifiers and email addresses with the state.

On February 10, 2026, FDLE agents, working with the Coconut Creek Police Department and Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, arrested Salak without incident. He was transported to the Duval County Jail.

The State Attorney’s Office for the Fourth Judicial Circuit is prosecuting the case.
