Jacksonville Man Pleads Guilty to 12 Counts of Child Porn

Palm Coast, FL – Amias Mabini, 26, of Jacksonville, pleaded guilty on March 4, 2026, to 12 counts of viewing and distribution of child pornography, more than seven months after his arrest by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes/ICAC Unit.

As part of a plea agreement, Circuit Judge Dawn Nichols sentenced Mabini to five years in the Florida Department of Corrections, to be followed by 10 years of sex offender probation. Upon release, he will be required to register as a sex offender for life.

Mabini was originally arrested in July 2025 on 40 felony counts related to the possession, viewing, and distribution of child sexual abuse material. The case was prosecuted by the State Attorney’s Office for Florida’s 7th Judicial Circuit.

“Our thorough investigation, and the State Attorney, Florida’s 7th Circuit’s aggressive stance on those who view and distribute child sexual abuse material, lead to a lengthy prison sentence for this pervert,” said Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly. “Our Cyber Crimes/ICAC detectives and partners work tirelessly to identify offenders, build strong cases, and hold them accountable.”

Mabini is currently being held at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility in Flagler County awaiting transfer to Florida Department of Corrections custody to begin serving his prison sentence.
