KISSIMMEE, Florida – An Osceola County woman was arrested Monday after deputies say she directed her children to assault another child during a disturbance at a Kissimmee apartment complex.
On March 16, 2026, deputies responded to the Heritage Park Apartment Complex following reports of a disturbance involving multiple juveniles at a community park.
According to investigators, a physical altercation began between a group of children who were playing in the park. Witnesses said one group of children left the area and returned with their mothers.
Deputies say two women became involved in a verbal argument with several of the children. During the incident, one of the mothers, identified as 41-year-old Ketsy Ann Rivera, allegedly pushed her two children, ages 8 and 9, toward a 10-year-old boy and instructed them to strike him.
Authorities said Rivera then grabbed the victim by his shirt, preventing him from leaving or defending himself.
The child was found with noticeable swelling to his left eye. Emergency responders evaluated the victim at the scene and determined he did not suffer serious injuries.
The victim’s mother later arrived and requested that charges be filed.
Rivera was arrested and charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Child Abuse without Great Bodily Harm, and False Imprisonment.
She was transported to the Osceola County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
