FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — A Palm Coast woman accused of posing as a licensed nurse and treating thousands of patients without credentials has been sentenced following a plea agreement.
Autumn Bardisa, 29, pleaded no contest on April 7, 2026, to charges of unlicensed practice of health care and fraudulent use of identification.
Circuit Judge Dawn Nichols withheld adjudication and sentenced Bardisa to five years of probation and 50 hours of community service. As part of the sentence, she must also write a letter of apology to the nurse whose license number she used.
Authorities said Bardisa treated more than 4,400 patients without a valid license before her arrest in August 2025. The case stemmed from a seven-month investigation by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
As part of her plea agreement, Bardisa forfeited her own nursing license, obtained after her arrest, to the Florida Department of Health and is prohibited from working in the medical field during her probation.
Sheriff Rick Staly said Bardisa’s actions undermined the integrity of the profession and potentially put patients at risk.
Bardisa had initially faced seven counts of unlicensed practice of health care and seven counts of fraudulent use of personal identification information.
The case has now been resolved through the plea agreement.
