Napeaches Blair taken into custody

Tallahassee Postal Clerk Arrested in Mail Theft Investigation

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. A United States Postal Service employee has been arrested after investigators say she stole cash and gift cards from mail being processed at a Tallahassee post office.

According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, 43-year-old Napeaches Blair of Tallahassee has been charged with grand theft, a third-degree felony, and mail theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Blair is employed as a Sales and Service Clerk with the United States Postal Service.

FDLE said the investigation began in April 2026 after the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General referred information regarding a suspected mail theft case to the FDLE Tallahassee Economic Crime Squad.

Investigators determined Blair allegedly stole cash and gift cards from items passing through the U.S. mail while working at the customer service counter of a Tallahassee post office.

As part of the investigation, an FDLE special agent working undercover mailed a greeting card containing $1,000 in cash. Authorities said the operation confirmed that Blair removed the money from the card.

Blair was arrested on July 13 and booked into the Leon County Jail.

The Office of the State Attorney for Florida’s Second Judicial Circuit will prosecute the case.

The U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General assisted throughout the investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing.
