Port St. Lucie Man Jailed in Bunnell on 10 Child Sexual Abuse Material Charges After Investigators Search Phone

BUNNELL, Fla. – A Port St. Lucie man already being held in the Flagler County jail is facing 10 new felony charges after a multi-agency investigation uncovered videos and images of children being sexually abused on his cellphone, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Brandon Irizarry, 29, was arrested Oct. 2 at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility on 10 counts of possession of sexual performance by a child. His bond on the new charges was set at $150,000.

The investigation traces back to September 2025, when X Corp., formerly Twitter, flagged an account for sharing suspected child sexual abuse material and reported it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

The CyberTip was forwarded to the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Broward County Sheriff’s Office detectives investigated and identified Irizarry as the owner of the account, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

By the time investigators tracked him down, Irizarry was already in custody in Flagler County on unrelated cases.

Flagler County deputies had arrested Irizarry on May 28 after authorities said he unlawfully exposed himself at a Taco Bell on State Road 100. He pleaded guilty June 2 and was placed on probation.

The following day, deputies arrested him on a theft charge involving the Target on State Road 100, which authorities said violated his probation. When Irizarry was returned to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, his cellphone was placed with his inmate property.

The phone remained there for about three months.

In September, Broward County investigators learned Irizarry was being held in Flagler County. Detectives from the two agencies then worked together to obtain a search warrant for his cellphone.

Flagler County detectives seized the device and turned it over to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office for forensic examination.

Investigators said they found multiple videos and images depicting the sexual abuse of children on the phone.

Because Irizarry had last possessed the device in Flagler County, the criminal case was transferred to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Irizarry remained incarcerated when detectives arrested him on the 10 new charges.

Investigators are continuing to examine the contents of the phone, and the Sheriff’s Office said additional charges are expected.
