Palm Coast Man Wanted for Cocaine Trafficking in Volusia County Arrested During Traffic Stop in Flagler County

PALM COAST, Fla. — A 25-year-old Palm Coast man wanted in Volusia County on cocaine trafficking charges was arrested Friday night, October 23, 2026, after a Flagler County Sheriff’s Office detective stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation.

Jumah Battle, 25, was taken into custody by detectives with the Sheriff’s Office’s Problem Area Crime Enforcement (PACE) Unit after they confirmed he had an active fugitive warrant.

According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, a PACE Unit detective observed a traffic infraction and checked the vehicle’s registration.

The detective determined that the registered owner, identified as Battle, had an outstanding arrest warrant from Volusia County.

During the traffic stop, detectives confirmed Battle was driving the vehicle and was wanted on charges of trafficking in cocaine and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.

Battle was arrested on the outstanding warrant and transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, where he was being held on a $255,000 bond.

Sheriff Rick Staly Comments on Fugitive Arrest

Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly credited the PACE Unit for locating and arresting Battle.

“This guy was not just a poison peddler, but a poison trafficker, and our PACE Unit got him off the street,” Staly said. “If you think you can hide out in Flagler County with an active warrant, think again.”

Suspect Has Previous Felony Convictions

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Battle has been arrested four times previously on charges that included possession of 21 grams or more of marijuana, carrying a concealed weapon, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment and failure to appear.

Those previous arrests resulted in three felony convictions, authorities said.
