Clay County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Ryan Perry was arrested on June 27, 2025, for Armed Sexual Battery following an investigation into an incident that occurred while he was responding to a theft call.
On June 18, 2025, a female victim contacted the Clay County Sheriff’s Office to report a theft at her residence in Orange Park. Two deputies were dispatched. While one deputy remained downstairs speaking with witnesses, Perry followed the victim to her bedroom, where he allegedly demanded that she expose herself and then inappropriately touched her, committing sexual battery.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of the allegations on June 21. Detectives immediately launched an investigation, conducting interviews and gathering evidence that led to Perry’s arrest on June 27. He was terminated from his position at the time of his arrest.
Perry had been employed by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office since October 2018. During his tenure, two citizen complaints were filed against him—one sustained, and one unfounded.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with additional information or similar experiences involving Ryan Perry is encouraged to contact the Clay County Sheriff’s Office at (904) 264-6512.
