Anecia Yvonne Graham, 22, has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Child Abuse following an investigation by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office into severe injuries sustained by a 4-month-old child.
On Saturday, July 5, 2025, Detective J. Wenk responded to a local hospital after medical staff reported suspected child abuse. The 4-month-old was being treated for multiple fractures that required surgery, with doctors confirming the injuries were consistent with physical abuse.
Detective Wenk interviewed Graham, who was responsible for the child’s care. During the conversation, Graham reportedly acknowledged that her interactions with the child might have been “a little rough” due to feelings of frustration.
Detectives further investigated the child’s residence and spoke with individuals familiar with both the victim and the suspect. Following a thorough investigation and interviews, Graham was arrested.
Authorities stated that the safety and well-being of children are among their highest priorities and commended Detective Wenk and all involved personnel for their diligent and compassionate work in seeking justice for the vulnerable child.
