JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—A narcotics investigation has led to the seizure of drugs and firearms from a Southside car wash and a nearby home, resulting in the arrest of two convicted felons.
According to a police statement, the investigation began when detectives observed illegal drug activity at a home off Southside Boulevard. Using various investigative techniques, detectives connected the home to a car wash on Southside Boulevard, where a suspect was also allegedly selling drugs.
On July 28, 2025, SWAT, Narcotics detectives, and District 3 patrol officers served search warrants simultaneously at both locations.
At the drug house, authorities seized:
- 604.6 grams of Powder Cocaine
- 80.9 grams of Crack Cocaine
- 10.20 grams of Mushrooms
- 259.5 grams of Marijuana
- 2 firearms
- Drug manufacturing equipment
At the car wash, they found:
- 14.8 grams of Crystal Meth
- 8.2 grams of Crack Cocaine
- 0.7 grams of Marijuana
- 1 firearm
Jason Baxter, 41, was arrested at the house, and Deandre Clark, 45, was arrested at the car wash. Both are convicted felons and now face additional felony charges.
The police department stated, “We will not allow anyone to sell illegal drugs anywhere in Jacksonville, in neighborhoods, communities, or even car washes.” They also encouraged residents to report suspicious activity by calling 904-630-0500.
