West Palm Beach Police Seek Armed Suspect After Officer Shot

On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, around 2 a.m., West Palm Beach Police responded to reports of an altercation along the 300 block of Baker Drive. Upon arrival, an individual fired multiple shots at responding officers. One officer was struck by a bullet, but their ballistic vest prevented serious injury. The officer was transported to a local hospital and has since been discharged.

Investigators have identified the shooter as 22-year-old Emmanuel Keevon Dashawn Mcrae, described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, medium build, with brown hair and brown eyes. Mcrae is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

The West Palm Beach Police Department is asking anyone with information on Mcrae’s whereabouts to contact them at 561-822-1900. Tips can also be reported anonymously through Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 1-800-458-TIPS (8477), with the possibility of receiving up to a $3,000 reward.

The investigation is ongoing. The department thanked the FBI, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, and the Palm Beach State Attorney’s Office for their assistance in the case.
