PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – A Port Charlotte woman was arrested Wednesday after investigators say she offered sexual acts in exchange for money during an undercover operation at a local massage business.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, detectives received a tip that illegal prostitution activity was occurring at AAA Rose Massage, located at 3315 S. Tamiami Trail. Detectives with the sheriff’s office Narcotics Unit, assisted by the Strategic Targeted Area Response team, conducted an undercover operation on Feb. 4 to investigate the allegations.
During the operation, investigators said Hong Zeng, born Aug. 21, 1961, offered and agreed to perform sexual acts with an undercover detective in exchange for money. While discussing the arrangement, Zeng also groped the detective over his clothing, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators later determined Zeng’s massage license had been revoked by the Florida Department of Health in June 2020, which prohibits her from acting as a masseuse.
Zeng was arrested and charged with solicitation of prostitution, battery by intentional touch or strike, use or attempted use of a revoked massage license, and resisting an officer without violence.
“As long as this type of disgusting behavior is happening in Charlotte County, we will continue to make these arrests and shut these operations down,” said Bill Prummell. “There is no place for this kind of activity here.”
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said it continues to work with the Florida Department of Health regarding similar establishments.
