PALATKA, Fla. – A 16-year-old student at Palatka Junior-Senior High School was arrested and charged after authorities say he posted a music video on social media threatening to kill specific classmates and describing how he would carry out the attacks.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Robert Alexander was taken into custody after a school dean alerted youth resource deputies to the video. Investigators said the video named multiple students, described where they would be shot, and included statements such as “I will end you.”
Deputies said the victims reported they currently attend classes with Alexander and that he had previously made threats against them, including statements that he would “blow up their houses” and “fight” them.
Alexander was charged with three counts of written or electronic threats to kill, do bodily injury, conduct a mass shooting, or commit an act of terrorism, all second-degree felonies.
He was booked into the Putnam County Jail and is being transferred to the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice facility in Volusia County.
The investigation remains ongoing.
