JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The City of Jacksonville’s Emergency Preparedness Division, in partnership with JEA, will host the return of JaxReady Fest, a free two-day event focused on emergency preparedness and community safety.
The event is scheduled for April 17–18, 2026, at the Prime Osborn Convention Center, located at 1000 Water Street.
JaxReady Fest is designed to give residents hands-on experience with emergency preparedness while connecting them with first responders, equipment, and community organizations.
Event hours are set for Friday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
Attendees can expect interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and opportunities to explore emergency vehicles and equipment up close. Activities will include preparedness workshops, safety demonstrations, and family-friendly games.
Organizers said the event will also offer training and information on topics such as severe weather safety, home emergency planning, and Narcan administration.
“Preparedness is something everyone can take part in,” said Andre Ayoub, Chief of the Emergency Preparedness Division. “JaxReady Fest gives residents the opportunity to learn practical skills, meet the professionals, and walk away with the tools they need to better protect themselves and their loved ones.”
Officials said the event aims to provide practical knowledge while creating an engaging experience for residents of all ages.
