Cocoa Beach High School Teacher Arrested for Sexual Relationship with Student

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School teacher has been arrested following an investigation into an alleged sexual relationship with a student, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

Kirsten Rose, 37, was taken into custody on April 10, 2026, by agents with the agency’s Special Victims Unit. She faces charges of lewd and indecent conduct by an authority figure and five counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

The investigation began in March after the parents of a male student reported concerns about a possible inappropriate relationship. According to investigators, the parents became suspicious after their son was late returning home and was found to be at an unknown residence. When questioned, the student eventually disclosed he was involved in a relationship with a teacher.

Authorities said the investigation revealed the student and Rose began communicating outside of school through social media in November 2025. Investigators determined the relationship became sexual on multiple occasions during February and March 2026.

Rose was arrested based on evidence gathered during the investigation and was booked into the Brevard County Jail without bond.

Officials said the investigation remains ongoing and are asking anyone with additional information to contact the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit.
