JACKSONVILLE, FL – Four people were arrested and 30 firearms were seized following a drug investigation on Jacksonville’s Eastside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The arrests stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Office Community Problem Response (CPR) Unit into suspected drug activity at two homes in the Longbranch neighborhood.
After gathering evidence, detectives obtained search warrants for both residences. On May 20, 2026, CPR detectives, assisted by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, executed the warrants.
During the searches, investigators recovered 30 firearms, including 26 rifles and four handguns.
Detectives also seized quantities of methamphetamine, Xanax, and marijuana from the properties.
Authorities arrested four individuals in connection with the investigation:
- Justice Johnson, 28
- Jaquan Wims, 29
- Leamon Jackson, 47
- Marcus Spencer, 65
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Johnson, Wims, and Jackson were arrested on felony charges and have documented ties to gang activity. Details regarding the specific charges were not immediately released.
Officials noted that the homes targeted during the operation were located just blocks from an elementary school.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said removing firearms and illegal drugs from the area will help improve public safety and reduce criminal activity within the neighborhood.
