TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Tallahassee Police Department has arrested two men in connection with the robbery of a Regions Bank branch on North Monroe Street.
Officers responded just before 9 a.m. on June 22 to Regions Bank, located at 2266 North Monroe Street in Tallahassee, after receiving reports of a robbery that had just occurred.
According to investigators, 54-year-old James Dalton Bryant arrived at the bank in a vehicle occupied by two other individuals. Bryant entered the bank, approached a teller, and handed over a note demanding money. He fled with just over $3,000 in cash.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives quickly identified Bryant as the robbery suspect.
Bryant was arrested and charged with robbery and grand theft. At the time of his arrest, investigators said he was carrying more than $900 in cash, primarily in large-denomination bills, along with additional evidence linking him to the robbery.
Before Bryant’s arrest, detectives also arrested 43-year-old Brandon Dodson, who investigators determined drove Bryant to and from the bank and later accepted a portion of the stolen money.
Dodson was charged with accessory after the fact to armed robbery and grand theft.
The Tallahassee Police Department said the arrests were made possible through investigative work and real-time intelligence sharing.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information about criminal activity is encouraged to contact the Tallahassee Police Department at 850-891-4200 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Solvers at 850-574-TIPS.
