NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. A man accused of fleeing the scene of an injury crash in Neptune Beach has been arrested following an investigation by the Neptune Beach Police Department.
According to police, officers responded July 1 to a crash at the intersection of Florida Boulevard and Kings Road. Investigators said the driver initially stopped after the collision to assist the other motorist but left the scene before law enforcement arrived without providing the required information.
Through investigative leads, detectives identified the suspected driver.
On July 9, officers with the Neptune Beach Police Department’s Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Division took Brandon Hutto-White into custody without incident.
Hutto-White was booked into the Duval County Jail on an unrelated arrest warrant and additional charges stemming from the July 1 crash.
He is charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving injury, driving while his license was suspended, canceled or revoked for a third or subsequent violation, and failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
The Neptune Beach Police Department reminded motorists that Florida law requires drivers involved in crashes resulting in injuries to immediately stop at or near the scene, remain there, render aid when appropriate and provide the information required by law before leaving.
