Hotter than a blazing firecracker

The heat wave is only going to intensify the next three days as highs reach the mid to upper 90s and the humidity increases.

Today will be dry for most with only isolated storms west of Baker county and along the I-75 corridor.

Heat could reach 100 inland across Georgia with a Jacksonville feel like index at 105°.

We will likely have dangerous heat Sunday with that index increasing up to 110° with Heat Advisories.

Overnight lows are expected to be in the low to mid 70s for inland locations with coastal locations a bit warmer in the upper 70s.

The stickier air will increase afternoon inland storms Sunday and through the holiday.

Scattered showers on the Fourth of July will combine with highs near 98.
