A family is searching for answers after their loved one was killed Thursday in Northwest Jacksonville.
Quynn Robinson was found shot dead on West 45th Street in a car. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said it’s possible the 34-year-old was shot and kept driving so it’s unclear where the shooting took place.
His family remembered Robinson as a brother and a father who would give his last to anyone. He was the fourth out of 14 children.
“A beautiful soul will give anything and everything,” his mother said. “Just was an awesome uncle, a great father, great brother. Just a wonderful man all the way around.”
His mom said detectives came to her home to give her the news.
“Detectives say they had a lot of leads. And that was all that was given to me. So I don’t know. They didn’t explain that if he was shot to death, or whatever they just said they found his body dead,” his mom said.
His family said he was working to become a pastor.
“I trained them to know God and gave them back to God. And that’s what he’s been doing. And he’s in his last days, is studying the Word of God and want to minister the word of God,” his mother said.
JSO is investigating but so far no arrests have been made so his sister leaves a message for the community.
“I’m gonna say this to my young people because I’m from here and I love my city,” his sister said. “Y’all young people making me hate my city, because you’re doing the wrong stuff. Stop adding noise to the stigma for fatherless kids. Y’all know y’all do y’all daddy, we need them to. Y’all took him away. For no reason. Not say the reason will be good. But y’all got to stop.”
