Heat advisories are back again for coastal counties and include Duval and points southward through 6 PM. Highs rise into the mid 90s and heat the index tops out at 108-110 degrees before the storms hit.
A 60% chance of rain is expected first over inland north central Florida early today and then tracks to the coast in the afternoon and evening hours. Some lasts well beyond sunset tonight.
The same pattern returns Saturday and Sunday.
Next week increasing rain coverage with extra humidity could soften the heat back down into the low 90s.
