We are catching a break in those hot mid 90s today with the easterly flow. This pattern will generate storms primarily west of the St. Johns River this afternoon.
Isolated showers through the mid-morning are possible with less rain this afternoon. Storms after 2 pm develop over western Duval and Clay and track southwestward toward Gainesville by late afternoon leaving metro cities winder drier easterly breezes.
Storms near I-75 fade out this evening with temps in the mid to upper 70s.
Tomorrow will be similar to today before the rain increases Friday. Developing SW flow heats up back up into the mid 90s over the weekend with increasing afternoon rain and storms.
