Yesterday’s heat feels worse today

Temps will reach the mid 90s this afternoon but the humidity is higher which will make it feel even hotter. Higher dew points surging in advance of a cold front headed our way will put the feels like index up to 105-108° across NE FL. Drier air over Georgia will exclude that area from the advisory.

The front helps spark a 40% chance of rain or storms late this afternoon and evening. Areas from JAX and south of the state line will see a greater chance of storms.

After today the air dries out with no rain expected until late in the weekend nor any cool down from the front.

Unfortunately, we are only Day 3 of a heat wave which will last through the weekend with daily highs in the mid 90s.
