According to the Department of Justice, on Aug. 5, 2022, in St. Johns County, a police officer stopped an SUV due to a traffic offense, where Carter was the passenger. A K-9 smelled drugs when walking around the SUV, leading the officer to search the vehicle.

The officer found two loaded pistols (one was reported stolen), about 36 grams of crystal meth, 21 grams of cocaine, three grams of MDMA (ecstasy), three grams of marijuana, a digital scale, syringes, and baggies, officials said.

The report said the driver denied knowing that there were drugs in the car but confirmed that Carter was a drug dealer.

The officer searched Carter and found brass knuckles and an empty firearm holster, he stated that it was for holding his cigarettes. Carter was arrested for various state offenses but soon released on bond, according to the report.

Following Carter’s release, a person working with law enforcement bought drugs from Carter four times at his home in Jacksonville. Carter sold the person about 645 grams of meth, three grams of fentanyl, and a firearm. He is prohibited from possessing firearms because he’s been convicted of 11 felony offenses.

On Nov. 2, 2022, federal agents and officers searched Carter’s home. The report said they found seven loaded handguns, two body armor vests, ammunition, a scale, baggies of meth and marijuana, a Nazi flag, and a vest with markings associated with the “Unforgiven,” a white supremacist prison gang.
