Lights, water, music: Friendship Fountain to sparkle again on the Southbank

The remodeled Friendship Fountain will be reopening very soon. Thursday night, News4JAX captured video of workers testing the fountain — the lights, dancing water and music were spectacular!

We’ve learned the attraction will reopen to the public on February 15, as part of the third Thursday Sip and Stroll event on the Southbank Riverwalk.

Mayor Donna Deegan is planning to push the button to begin the fountain synchronization with music. The fountain is in its final testing phase after renovations and the fencing around it is starting to come down.

We’ve told you about the delays and updates over the past few years. Now, we are finally excited to see the attraction in all its glory and enjoy the view along with you!
