October London Brings Motown Vibes To the First Coast

By Anthony Barlow – Death Row Records artist October London mounted Jacksonville’s Florida Theatre stage for a soulful concert in front of a packed audience swaying to his R&B beats. London’s voice is reminiscent of Motown artist, crooner and songwriter Marvin Gaye, “He reminded me of Marvin Gaye so much, wow, R&B soul is back,” said Karen Brown.  Singing his hits from his debut album entitled, “The Rebirth of Marvin,” London’s lyrical vibes captured the audience attention with his hit singles, ‘Back to your Place,’ and ‘Mulholland Drive,’ ucrrently heard on radio stations throughout the nation and steady climbing the Billboard charts. While bestowing accolades on enjoying his time on the First Coast, London lit a cigar and continued to impress the audience with his swagger and stories of growing up in South Bend, Indiana. “I’m looking for a realtor in Duval,” said London smiling.  London’s happenstance chart stopping career came to fruition when he met music producer Jazze Pha and rapper Snoop Dogg. Since his rise to stardom, London’s comparison to Marvin Gaye’s legacy’s has been his catalyst to bringing sexy back to the R&B genre.
